strange disappearing and reappearing prims phenomenon

Any light someone can put on this subject would be appreciated....

I noticed that an object was returned to me from my Hubby's plot of land right next to mine. I checked and there were only 16 prims avaliable when the day before there were over 200. Hubby didn't build anything new, I didn't build anything new and I checked the entire plot of land even at altitude and found nothing that didn't belong.
Then yesterday the 200 prims re-appeared as available....

Any idea what happened?

I'll so glad when 1.6 comes out....it should make solving this kind of mystery much easier!

That's exactly it... we can't give good details now (particularly if they're gone), but 1.6 will at least let you know who to blame.

I ran into this problem a couple of times. But what I found even using a scanner the items left on the land seemed to be an attactment that is ghosted. I've seen hair, cellphones, etc that count on your prims but they aren't there. A scanner senses it and gives me exact coordinates, name info, etc but I can't see them. If I do a return items on land and these items do go away.
