SL was working perfectly last night...but today, every time I log in, a few prims around me, along with prims on my character, suddenly bug out...they become long and jagged randomly, flickers constantly, and just really messes up everything. Eventually the client crashes.
It's weird....and I have no idea why it's doing this. Any suggestions?

I'm suspicious that your local cache may have become corrupted. Have you tried clearing cache - first, the checkbox in Edit/Preferences/Network, and then if that doesn't work, by deleting the entire SL data directory?
C:\Documents and Settings\<your userid>\Application Data\SecondLife
(You will have to reset all your preferences if you do the latter).
Many things can corrupt SL's cache - virus checkers, background disk management progs, spyware checkers. Ideally, you'd configure all of them to keep their hands off SL's data, since the randomness of particularly the textures tends to freak all such programs out.

Well I just tried updating my graphics drivers (they were indeed outdated), but it didn't work either. So I'll try what you just said, thanks. EDIT: Well I tried another game that uses the same graphics (Perfect World), and it has the same problem, so it's not SL....

Twice i had this happen in SL, First time it was my old vid card was dying, replaced and it went away. Second time it was happening cause of bad ram. You might want to check system memory & vid card heat, vid card test > any 3dmark would show if you got heating issues/dying card url ; www.futuremark.com(tho i doubt they test opengl) ram test > www.memtest.org, if anything fail there your ram is about to give out, or memory speed/timing is set wrong in bios can show false positive on this, this one is slow. Spikes in SL can be cause of having some preference on , especially true if you have a ati vid card, so check these on/off preference Graphic detail [ ] Avatar vertex program adv.graphics [ ] enable opengl vertex buffer object
