A few months back in order to play another online game I needed to buy a better graphics card then i have along with a new stronger power supply. Although, I didn't continue to play that game I continued this one but I now had problems with the new card as it began to heat up. So I took it out and replaced it with my old graphics card until I get the new one repaired. The problem is now when I began sl the colors are are spinning around all out of wack, it has to do with the settings I believe of the card.
I can see little parts of sl here and there but for the most part, the screen is blocked by all these colors flying around like bright lights at some fireworks display. It needs to settle down so I need help fixing and adjusting this.
My old card which is the one I have installed now is a Radeon 9200 SE 128MB DDR. Now, I used this card for over a year and never had any problems with it. What I think has happened is when I installed the new card which is a Nvidia BFG 7800GS OC 256MB it somehow changed the settings and since my old card isn't as strong or as good it can't now handle them.
I went to edit, the prefrences and to graphics and I switch it from 256MB to 128MB but this the same problem.
Can someone please show me what I should do to fix this problem.
I thank you for any help you can provide.

an overclocked BFG card run hot? an non overclocked nvidia card would run hot with that puny little heatsync on it
anyways ...
what it sounds like is some driver bleedover, like you didnt uninstall the nvidia drivers and the differences tween the 2 cards is causing weirdness within the driver/ open GL software i would start there

It did have to do with the drivers just as you said. But I also had to re-install windows again to start over.
I put this here in case someone else has this problem they'll know what to do.
Thanks a lot for your response, although I didn't see it 'til now after I already fixed this problem, nonetheless it was the right diagnosis.
I contacted BFG in Cali and they suggested I send them the card and they'll repair the fan or whatever problem it has or replace it altogether they said being I still have the warranty on it at no cost of course.

My computer experience is limited so would this be a fan you're referring to? I was told you can add another fan to the card.
I called California ( this is where I got the card from as I'm from New York) and they instructed me to send them the video card so they could examine then replace it or repair it. But even if they were to replace it I'd still like to add the fan or heatsink if that's what you call it.
The website you have is a Korean one and althought I didn't spent too much time checking it out what would I need to keep my card cool? Any suggestions or tips?
I'd go on-line and check out the computer shops where you can buy good parts for cheap prices here in the USA.
Thanks again for your responses and advice.
