Despite the post by a Linden that the login issues are FIXED they are not. I Still Cannot Login...It gets to "Connecting to Region" then crashes. I've been trying for over 7 hours, rebooted my computer and have done everything I can but still cannot log in. Someone please fix this, its getting frustrating and if a Linden is reading this....My avatar was left in the Sim named Drum and I can't log in. Might want to check that Sim.

Don't know if this will help or not, but you could change your login preferences at the login screen and set it to home (instead of to the last place you logged out). *crosses fingers*

I can't get in neither. I could, earlier today, but now, when I try to connect, it informs me to update. The updater does its little dance, but after that, the newly updated version tells me to update. Did someone forget to twiddle a version number on the mac client?

You might also try to logging in to a completely different location (perhaps your last location and your home location are the same, and there is a problem with that sim).

Try clicking this link, then logging in:

No my last location was in Drum where I signed out. My home location is in Belleville. Two completely different sims. Didn't work with the link you gave me either. 9 hours and counting. *TAPS ON GLASS* Is anyone out there working on this problem? lmao

Lacie - I was still getting locked out even when others were getting in earlier - I uninstalled and reinstalled, and got in on the first try. Give that a shot, can't hurt, right?

(PS I know its still an issue for some people, had some friends in world that jumped out for a sec and said it took them a few tries to get back in, this was only about a half hour ago)

Login appears to be broken again, and I can't get past the waiting response thing at all.

Anyone in this thread who's running internet security software, please turn it off. Open the Windows Firewall in the Control Panel and turn it off too.

Thanks!

I found I had this problem too with my laptop. I could get in with my desktop but the laptop was not connecting. I did the complete uninstall as outlined in the support wiki then reloaded. SL then came up with an error message saying my notebook video drivers were out of date. According to Fujitsu (notebook manufacturer) I had the latest drivers they provide for the OEM graphics that ATI recommends you use. I went ahead and uploaded the latest Omega drivers and that cured the problem and I get on, no problem. I had used the Omega drivers before and they worked great but they disabled video playback on my machine but the latest ones don't have that problem. Woot!!

My advice is to make sure you have the latest drivers for everything, uninstall SL and reload it. If you are running Win95/98/98SE/ME you are not going to get in 1.6.
