I start downloading the installer, then it says I've already installed that version. I say yes to go ahead and install it anyway, and then I try to log back in to Sl, and it says a new version needs to be downloaded? Help, please?  |

I'm having the same problem. It says it can't install a few files such as secondlife.exe. I ignore, the update proceeds and when I try logging in, it still says I need the update!

What you guys need to do is Uninstall your current version and download the installer from the website. That should fix your problems.

Try uninstalling, verify no occurances of secondlife.exe are running in the task manager, then delete the folder c:\program files\secondlife
Reboot then download from the website

version keys are likely stored in registry too...unless you are comfortable there...dont go...
