Just curious about this. I've had butterflies and a seagull on my property for the past few months now, and never touched them. In the last 2 weeks, they have been returned to my lost and found folder everytime I place them back out. If I recall the reason it gave me, it said something about the objects were out of my land boundaries or something to that effect. This is impossible, because they are not.

Is this a bug?

I presume they fly - often flying things fly off world.

I get this one in a while with my birds as well...

I assume they went on a neighbors land that has return time set, or the neighbor did not like them and they were returned.

So unless you can lock them to your land only, you will always get a few returned once in a while..

I wish it were that easy to explain away, but the butterflies are in my house, and you have to designate the parameters from beginning, to end, to where they fly. I don't designate them out of property bounds. As I said, they have been there for months without a problem, then suddenly....

But thanks for your thoughts :)

Hi Lee.

I just received the same message overnight regarding this issue. I am posting it here.

The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life:
> Your object 'Seagull' went off the world at <3592.25,3516.10,3408.67> in
> Urdu. You can find it in your lost and found folder.

That message generally means a physical object left the boundaries of a sim and didn't get handed off to another sim. This typically means it flew off a water edge, but occasionally it means it got pushed REALLY hard.

Someone might have gone in your house and shot them. I guess it could be a griefer having much fun using them as target practice.
