I recently installed SL on another computer that only has a 16-bit and 24- bit resolution on an LCD 15in monitor. Once i tried to run it, a message appeared saying that i had to have a 32-bit true color. Obviously, i dont have that..SO....

in the box that came up explaining the viewing prob with the true color thingy, it then said that alternately, I could run the SL application at full screen and that it would remember my preferences next time that i logged on.

This didn't work...

So, can anyone give me any suggestions concerning this?

Thankx ahead of time.

It seems very odd that a computer that has an LCD monitor isn't capable of 32-bit color. Video cards have been able to do 32-bit at any resolution for a VERY long time now. I would make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. ALSO make sure you have the latest drivers for you *monitor* as well. It's possible Windows doesn't think the monitor is capable of 32-bit and so it limiting your choices.

Well, I found out that the crappy computer doesn't have an up to date graphics capability. This is at college. I work there in the computer labs (heehee, I just sit in front of a computer all day), and when a friend and I decided to see what was up about it, we realized that it was the graphics that was the problem. There really needs to be an upgrade in that lab!

Thanks again for the input!
