Two Landmark Folders?

I have two landmark folders in my inventory. One is full of my usual landmarks and the other is empty.
We are not able to make these types of folders are we? I'm wondering if I did it on accident.

you can make a new folder and name it landmarks, but it wont have the different folder icon

i would bug report it, possibally reinstall just incase

Mine did that with the object folder, I have two now. Just figured it was because the one was very full.

Happened to me too... I have two Objects folders. Not sure what caused this, it just appeared by itself.

This used to be an indication that your inventory meta-data was screwed up and like writes to a dirty file system, future inventory operations can cause even more damage and loss.

Again, in the past, this would require extra-liaison intervention to fix (often requiring a DBA to zap portions of your inventory) until the problem stopped being there. I hope this is no longer the case.

Good luck getting assistance with it today. If you value your inventory, I'd wait until after the upgrade before doing anything as Linden assistance will likely be hard to obtain on upgrade day.

I've had two Object folders for months. The top one is empty but cannot be deleted. It's a bug. It's been reported a few times. After years of keeping my inventory down to a managable 3-4k items, I'm not waiting for the day that half of it disappears forever.

I've had a 2nd objects folder for probably about 8 months. I doesn't seem to be causing any problems for me, though......yet, anyway!

Its happened to me, I contacted Nova Linden at the time, she told me to log out and not to log back in for 10 minutes. Came back a while later and I only had one. Try contacting a Liason

2 object folders here, but I kinda ignore the 2nd empty one. Be nice if it wasn't there though. If SL fixes this, PLEASE don't fork up and end up deleting everyones real object folder full of objects...I would just die...

Alright. I've been here myself, and I vowed if I ever got through it, I'd guide others. Here's what to do, after doing what Zap suggested.

Everyone who posted here, please go to EDIT menu ---> PREFERENCES ---> NETWORK tab and press da CLEAR CACHE button.

Relog.

If that doesn't clear your extra folders, then send a bug report from the HELP menu about your duplicated folders. It helps to say how many dupes you have, which folders are duped, etc.

Post here again with your bug report #. Lays it out nice and clean.

I will aggregate the info and get these specific cases to Kona and Phoenix, who fix these things--they patched my dupe folders up!--ASAP. Will also be looking for any patterns.

I currently have two Object folders so I'll be doing this as well.

Everyone here having duplicate folders in inventory should now be fixed. ^_^
