How can I manually use the updater from the command line?? Trying to download the patch, but the updater doesn't work in linux and never has since I've used it. Linden's, plz either upload the patch for us to manually install or tell us how we can get it through the command line. It might be what we need, or well I need :P

I don't quite understand what you mean but you mean that the download of the latest version of Second Life from:

http://secondlife.com/download

doesn't work for you?

No, the download still work's. Install Still work's. Finally got SL working under Linux. The update tool has never worked under linux tho, unfortunatly. There is now a patch for second life that I simply cannot use becuase the updater will not work from the sl client. I'm not even sure if it'll work when manually typed in at the command line either. I'm willing to try tho. Right now, SL run's EXTREMLEY SLOW for me, I can't do anything. Thankfully LOGGING out ISN'T affected! Whoopee. I'm hoping, this patch, if there's anyway us LINUX user's are aloud to get ahold of it will help us. But, as we've all seen, sl like's to string us along and have us believe they're actually doing sumthing for linux user's.
