A friend of mine has been experienceing huge problems with moving in SL. He says everthing loads, all the buildings and textures and he can see everyone else move about and animate. But when he tries to move his avatar is stuck or walks in one direction for ever and ever making it impossible to interact with the world around him. Ive seen alot of others on the forum who also have this problem...
I dont have this problem lukily, but i did come across it when i tried to port map SL through my router ports 443 and 12020. I found i could not move at all so i quickly reverted back to no port mapping.
Now my friend has the Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem with USB and Ethernet connections (he's connected with ethernet).
Can anyone give any clues to how my friend can get SL to work? any ideas he can try to fix this? any ideas is better than none at this point.....

If he is going straight to the cable modem with Ethernet try the USB. Can't hurt, isn't hard to do, and takes no brainpower. If the cable modem is provided by the cable service company get them to swap it for another one, same reasoning - it's easy to do.
