yeah. im running 1.7.1 (2) on a 1.8ghz 17 in. imac with a 64mb nvidia GeForce FX 5200 video card and 2gb ram. running OS X 10.4.2 also. i keep crashing for no apparant reason out of game, be it standing, trying to edit my profile, or using any menus at the top of the game screen. when the crash reporter comes up, its all white, so i just click where i think cancel is, and wait for it to disappear. clicking where OK is does nothing at all.
also my sound within the game is quitting on me from time to time, and once it does, it dosent return unless i clear cache and relog. sound is enabled, ive disabled radio music in game (in preferences) and no, my volume is not muted.
anyone else having these problems?
i would love to hear from a linden. this is driving me insane. its been happening since 1.7 came out.

Both my partner and I have been having the exact same problems each of us on our own Macs. One being a Powerbook, and the other and iBook both current within the last year. It seems that the crash reporter is always crashing. A simple force quit of the crash reporter, and I re-log, but this is starting to work my nerves. I love the improvements so far except for this one issue.

Yes...crash reporter on my mac is also messed up.
and yes...sounds die on me from time to time...and only return when I restart.
I also noticed, just now, that I can't save a script. It tells me that my local drive might be full or something...which I didn't know it was trying to save to a local file. It doesn't matter if I'm trying to save to inventory or save a script inside an object. I get the same error. Do you suppose this is a mac thing too?

Yes I keep crashing around every 5-10 minutes trying to build for my wife and my event this Saturday and having a hard time getting things done. Never has it been this bad with crashing before.

Crash Report Broke on Mac Client

LL admits the Crash Reporter is broken for the Mac Client and is working to fix. Just hit Send and then Force Quit the CR after a client crash.
Hope they get the bugs exterminated real soon.....

Do you suppose this is a mac thing too? i also experienced this tonight when i tried to put a texture on a newly made undershirt. so i relogged, came back in and everything was fine. i also find that my crashes come once ive been on SL for awhile and i try to go into my preferences, groups, or anything involving using the top menus in game. really, really annoying. i hope a new version comes out soon. ive all but given up on anything dramatic happening anytime in the near future.
