I'm getting the clock message now on log-in attempts, when I'm not just crashing back to desk-top.
Is it worth setting the clock back?
Should I avoid Friday, the 13th?

Your clock is tied directly into your IPS setting. I wouldn't tinker with it!

I've gotten several different messages while trying in vain to log in... Despite our best attempts something has gone wrong blah blah blah... Something about my clock being wrong...and sometimes just a revert back to the log in screen with no msg. Once I actually got right in. It's obvious to me that the messages don't really mean anything.
These continuous problems are ridiculous. If there were major issues once a month or every 2 months then that could be understandable, but every week or day for some? Unfuckingbelieveable. I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of my land like some other people I know. I'll give it another month and see what happens. If I see no improvements then I'm doing away with my tier...because obviously my contribution to LL isn't helping anyways.

i get all hopeful once past 'waiting for response' only to fal again at the hurdle of 'contacting user server'
my point is how long LL can get away with this, surely someone is going to start up another game: lets call it Third Life, a complete rip of sl but without the crap we have to endure. Oh if you know of one i'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs watching forums
