thanks all who helped with my previous laptop question.
i'm still looking for a new one so, let me try again....

Most new laptops come with vista, in that case SL is having a blowout with vista, there lindens wont help at all either. It should work with SL apart from that.

should be ok, not "slap your momma" awesome, but just fine
aside from having vista
i would upgrade to 2gb tho
1024 - 288 = not enugh for SL vista and whatever else you might be running, like virus software ect
