Lag, Crash and Other Stupid Things

Hi.

Up until today, everything was peachy in Second Life. Then, today, it's laglaglaglagitylag,crashcrashlaaaaaaagcraaaaaassshlaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagcrashitycrash.

My clothes do not download, my avatar will look like anything but what he's supposed to. He even changes gender. Sometimes, all I'll see is the ground like I'm in mouse mode and then when I try to move in a direction to see better, then he won't stop moving. I can IM but not local chat or if I can local chat, it will take 30 seconds to show up in the window. My avvy freezes in position but I can make him face in any direction. Sometimes he will TP, most times not. I can click on my avvy and select appearance and nothing happens at all.
SL worked fine yesterday. No problems. Today, I'm wondering if I screwed myself making that tier payment for the whole year. I have been playing less than a week.

1.5Mbps DSL (AT&T) No problems there. I checked with AT&T and Broadbandreports.com

SL is due an update on Wednesday, this lag/crash situation is where LL install the new updates onto the sim servers prior to the update shutdown. Eachtime they mess with live/running code, it causes other systems to become stressed and out of sync. It's been around like this since conception.
