I am trying to set up a computer to run sl next to my primary one. I am getting an error saying sis chipset is obsolete. is that the main processor on the motherboard? it is an AMD duron processsor.
Thank you

You may want to go to the SIS site and see if there are drivers. Do you have more details about your system?

Make sure it meets the System Requirements:

What video card? SIS made some pretty crappy, imho, video card chipsets, and they're pretty obsolete now (as noted). That's my hunch to where you're problem lays.

the chipset is nothing to do with a processor or a video card, though many people use the term to mean them (incorrectly)

basically think of the chipset as the main brains on the motherboard. SiS is a common maker of chipsets on motherboard that use AMD processors. Its also very possible you have a SiS video processor that is complaining about as well. Check to see what graphics card/chip is in the machine (try looking under Display in device manager). But do go find the SiS website and make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed, then whatever drivers you need for whatever graphics chip is in there.
