Just started playing around in SecondLife and the big issue I have with it right now is how Avatar Textures are being handled from my view point.

What happens a lot is that several avatars will have muddy or blurry skins which seem to never get better. In most cases, after 10-20 minutes, the texture finaly loads, but in other cases the person leaves before that time comes and it never happens. So how do I tweak the settings to get the most detail and fastest texture load times so that all avatars are fully textured in a short amount of time.

This issue specialy irks me because it seems to me that the buildings and objects around me are fully loaded or at least much more then the avatars, and yet I look at avatars more then just objects. So shouldn't Avatars be first on the loading queue? I do realize that some people may have insanely large textures so they might take a while. But I have a fast cable connection, I'm willing to use up every drop of bandwidth I got to speed up the loading process.
