Hello,
I am doing a little research before I upgrade my laptop.
Is anyone using the following card
ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X700 (HyperMemory4 supporting up to 256MB)? Let me know if it works fine with SecondLife.
Regards

Keep away from ATi if you going to play SL on the laptop. ATi is good cards but SL hates ATi cards. Go with NVIDIA if your going to use it for SL and you be very happy. ;)

I have a laptop with the X300 chipset and it runs SL ok. It's not fast, but it's usable.

However, my model has dedicated video memory. Your model uses shared system memory (that's what the label HyperMemory means) - this is a big performance killer. Nvidia has something similar. AVOID SUCH SOLUTIONS AT ALL COSTS.

Whether you pick ati or nvidia, make sure the graphics chipset has its own memory.
