It maybe due to the constant 45 fps frame rate they have going now. It said on the update that the game will never drop below that number, that scripts and objects will be effect by reducing the number of times a script will load or run. So when you go past certain objects they will unrez.

That is understandable. I lag all the time cause of my video card being turned up a bit but that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I cannot stand seeing half the world or being in a building and seeing only half of it. I can understand a bit about some of the scripts being too much where your system comes to a crawl at times but they should find someway to make the scripts less laggy than only half working or making half a building appear and then disappear.

I sure hope this is some settling in issue, beause it's just plain ugly & disconcerting.

omg i hope this isn't something that's going to stick - it looks absolutely horrible. the vast majority of our island is a big blur.

It happens every time the grid is rebooted/down. The local sim has to re-cache everything, until then, things are a bit blurry. Lordfly tried to say that v1.7 wouldn't be an exception, but nobody reads that, I guess.

I've seen it happen before, and by the next day things are back to normal.

i actually did read lordfly's post earlier today and was perfectly content waiting for the world to rez. this post is eluding that it will stay this way due to the sim fps being locked at 45.

i guess we should all just know who's right and who's wrong in forums.

the 45 fps lock-down affects scripts directly, not the objects that they are in.

think of your machine when your are doing something like burning CDs or DVDs - other apps may be slowed down to ensure your system keeps up with the laser in the drive - but those apps are not shut down and later restarted.

the new sim scheduler can slow down your scripts when needed - but it isn't responsible for de-rezzing/re-rezzing objects.

give the grid a while to settle and see what happens. :)

hmmmmm - another analogy occurs to me - have you ever cleared your SL cache? when you log back in - for a while everything has to come down the wire from scratch. the world looks broken for a while and then just comes right. Think of that happening not just on your machine, but on every one of the sim machines as well. It, too, should just come right.

Unless it's a new bug in the render engine :D

Day Two!

Day Two and still only parts of my land rezzes. I also understood the lights were going to look lite up but would not cast light out from it, well my whole sim is now in multicolors because of a few blinking lights I have ... I'm even blinking! I love that SL constantly improves our interaction in game play, and, they are awesome in keeping this the number one game, but,! but, I really really want to see all my land that I pay for, I agree Rick I dont' want to live in a world that you can only see part of, I want to see the whole thing! I hate the lag but it's better than this!
