Vista with Nvidia

I have a windows vista and geforce Gt6600 video card. Very often i have a crach in SL. What i could do to stop this problem?

ummm...replacing Vista with XP. :D

...barring that, make sure you're running the latest NVIDIA driver...the version is up to 158.24.

Right now there are also a lot of crashes just due to SL code, not even relating to Vista. So, it is impossible to tell whether Vista is the true problem right now.

Umm, I have a nice NVidia card under XP and a massive galloping memory hole in SL - see my other post - and a very nice Vista machine downstairs with an ATi card, which runs SL superbly well. Certainly much better than the "recommended" spec...

But then you have some like me with no memory hole swallowing SL ram ; P ... i do however always disable the stupid SL clouds when i log in, i dont consider 900mb ram use much when i have 4gig ram -.-;

Try disabling VBO in adv.graphics for various crashing in SL, might help might not.
