Buying Lindens Limit

When I try to buy Lindens, I keep getting the message saying.

Currency Purchase would exceed limits. This transaction would exceed your daily trading limit. Your daily trading limit is $10.

Someone told me that over somthing like 30 days your account can then purchase lots more Lindens at a time. Well my account is almost 1 year old and I cant even buy more then $10 worth of Lindens at a time. I havent played for ages but well Im back and looking to do some business that would need me to spend/buy Lindens.

Anyone having this problem or know the solution?

Is this the first time you've attempted to buy Lindens? I think the limits start on your first purchase of Lindens. Also, have you changed payment info since you last played SL?

I believe it starts either when you put in payment info or complete your first transaction. (Not sure which)

upgrading to premium, adding tier, land store, auctions, buying lindens, selling lindens, etc. all count as that first transaction if that is how it works.

I think you are probably right Keira. The point being that a limit is placed starting the first attempt to any transaction involving real currency. I'm also pretty sure that a limit would put on again if you changed your payment information.....like swicthing to Visa from Mastercard or PayPal. And since the OP has been absent from SL for quite a long time there may be some "cancelling' taking effect.......like if you don't use a credit card for a long time your credit line will drop temporarily.

Thanks for your replys. However I have made purchases of $10 worth of lindens alot. I bought a bit when my account was made like a year ago and yesterday I bought some more. Still at $10 limit.
