I am trying to activate my account and have tried both of my credit cards and i get this error:
An error occurred while processing you request. •
We were unable to charge your credit card account. Please use an alternate card or contact your credit card issuer.
If you would like to change your credit card, you may do so below. By entering a new credit card you agree to be charged the past due amount of US$0.00. Be sure to click the Save Changes button when you are done.
Both cards have credit and are working fine.

If you emailed support@secondlife.com t might be worth sending one to billing@secondlife.com too, billing departments usually respond quicker.
If you're feeling desparate you could phone them, otherwise I guess all you can do is wait. Good luck.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out with that kind of attitude. No company I know of handles billing issues on a weekend, or on a holiday.

It's a holiday today? I didn't know that.
Anyway, patience Raquel. If you're really in that much of a hurry why don't you phone them and see if anyone's actually in the office?

Same problem here! A friend & I signed up at almost the same time, we are both having this "account disabled" problem. IMO there is a glitch somewhere, the system is trying to charge $0.00 to credit cards, PayPal, whatever (I tried them all!). Tried to contact billing, received an auto-reply and in game volunteers are just not able to help, rightfully so. Tried to upgrade the account to premium, again, that didn't work either, still said I was past due in the amount of $0.00!! So much for a gaming day off

Getting pissed won't solve anything, I'm sure they'll get back to you eventually - they're not gods you know. In fact, I think I remember someone saying something about them working a bug in the billing out at the moment. Why don't you go do something else while you're waiting for a reply? Here's some games in case you really can't stand to leave your computer: http://www.littlefluffy.com/

Today (Monday) is Labor Day in the United States. Most businesses and government services take the day off. I'm sure that you will get a response to your situation on Tuesday.

This problem occurs when the initial membership transaction is declined after the seven-day trial is over. This only occurs if you complete the seven-day trial without manually activating your account.
If the first payment fails, we don't repeatedly try to bill the user... it's quite likely they don't want to be charged. (Many of them simply forgot to cancel.) For accounting purposes, we zero out the balance so we're not tracking that money as something we're expecting to receive.
The problem occurs when the resident tries to restore the delinquent account. For most accounts on delinquent hold, you can update the credit card to process the billing; if it succeeds, the account is restored. However, in this case, you can't charge $0.
This has to be manually corrected for now. Emailing billing@secondlife.com is a good option (support handles so many technical emails that a response may take longer). If you want inworld as soon as possible, it's best to call.
