Weird graphic box under mouse

So I have been having this issue for some time where I mouse over an area in SL and a box underneath my mouse captures what it was over so to speak and holds the image even if the background changes. This is rather hard to explain so I recorded it and put it on youtube. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I have tried most everything I can think of.

Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ucb0l0adio

System stats:
Windows XP SP2
AMD Athlon 64x2 5200+ Windsor dual core
2gig DDR2 pc800
2x GeForce 7900's running SLi

Thanks in advance for your help.

Also, not sure if you can see it... but any pants I wear on my avatar cause this weird error in the length of my legs. I refer to them as bell bottoms others have called them blob feet... heh. Any ideas on what is causing that?

wow. I've never seen that before. BUMP.
Since the little picture seems to be the screen image before you start to 'zoom in', I'd guess it was somehow local to your PC...but I don't really know. (just out of curiosity, is it still there if you turn off SLI?)

It depends. Sometimes it isn't there at all. If I turn off SLi after its doing it it will go away even if I turn it back on. But once I restart my PC it starts doing it all over again.

Also, sometimes turning off SLi doesn't effect it at all. It will stay there regardless of it being enabled or disabled. I have tried multiple versions of drivers even up to the beta drivers and I still have this issue. It has been occurring since update 1.13 give or take a few (I don't remember the exact patch.) Sometimes I have to uninstall and install the video drivers again thus resulting in 2 restarts and is quite a pain. As I said I have tried almost everything I could think of with no real luck other than lengthy and tiresome work around like disabling and re enabling SLi.

looks like your clone.... LL been massarging the account figures again?

If you are using SLi it could be a latency issue between the cards.. are they both the same make and model?

Yes they are the same model cards(not make but I have 3 cards at the moment, 2 in the system one is a different make. The third is exactly the same as the other but not in at this time. When it was with the same make this problem still existed.)

As I said this continues even with SLi off. I have even tried unplugging the SLi Jumper to no avail.

The only way I have found to correct this issue is to 1) Uninstall the nVidia drivers, reboot 2) Install drivers again, reboot 3) Don't reboot the system unless I feel like repeating steps 1 - 3 (which doesnt bother me to often BUT every now and again the system does need a restart. But it is quite annoying to have to go through all the hassle everytime.)

Just an on off for SLi in BIOS, and no I haven't tried turning hardware acceleration off... though that would drastically cut performance.

Have you enabled some sort of fancy cursor for XP? If you have, it could be malfunctioning in SL.

First thing the trouble shooting states, if you are having issues, try turnning off/down hardware acceleration.. worth a shot.

Iffin you say so, turning it off or even less than half down sl won't load at all as it disables any and all 3D rendering. I tried knocking it down a couple to no avail still the same old problem.

Matter of interest, what MB are you running? And are you using analogue or DMI connection to your monitor?

Asus M2N SLi Deluxe
And DVI Even have it hooked up to my LCD TV as well, same effect there through component cabling.

Though it is recorded on the video so it isn't a problem with my monitor per say...
