Nubee~ Yes, I still have that problem. All new avatars that I generate are female at first. I can switch them to male, and there will be some tweaking to make them look more male, but finally they look like transvestites. In the resident's forum I was told that this is normal (getting female avatars at first), but if I look at all those male characters that I happen to meet in SL, I really doubt that this is the truth behind it. This is not new, it happened to me before the new release was released this weekend. Somewhere there is a false bit set. and editing the profile doesn't solve it. If it doesn't change, I will quit SL because I won't make a fool of myself. Horst

If you go to edit your Appearance and you are male, but after something like a teleport you look female, that's Ruth. Ruth is kinda like a default avatar. Normally on a slow laggy day one might see a male be Ruth for half a second after a teleport and then transform back into himself, that is with the slider settings right for his male shape. If you STAY in Ruth mode, that's a bug or some problem that should be fixed.
