Hi everybody,
My guess is this topic has been discussed at some length before (and I found one reference to that), but I am not able to find such a thread anywhere in the SL world.
In my experience steering vehicles is very awkward using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Is there a known way to improve this? One idea I have is perhaps plugging an Xbox controller into my PC. Before buying one though, has anyone tried this already?
Thanks, Nikki

Most Vehicles allow driving using the mouse ( usually in mouselook ) which is more accurate but in general driving in SL is granular.

Yes. Steering (including flying) is based on key presses. THe Open Source Viewer project folks have been working on a joy-stick interface. I'd hold off on buying the XBox controller until they add capabilities...after all, you might need a Wii instead!
