I crash when i try to go to preferences

ever since this last update i crash when i try to go to preferences, every time, all i have to do is click preferences and boom im off SL and sending in a crash report. I hate this last update. I had to uninstall SL and reinstall it just to be able to get on after this last update and now i cant listen to music cuz i cant get into preferences. Im afraid if i uninstall and reinstall again, i wont be able to get on again.

Hello Fawn... uninstalling and reinstalling is prolly a good move, given the crashiness! Or, if you don't want to do that, there's a very base thing I do to check out problems like this sometimes: on my Windows XP, I have a new user account just for SL and not much else. Makes it easier to test, so if you can, you may want to do that.
