If I receive an email from SL as a result of an IM becasue I was off-line, can I save the return email address and use it for future communications with that resident?

Well buddy, it seems like you can for a limited time.. but if you use it the next day or so it comes back as undeliverable.. well for me atleast.

I also find this to be hit-and-miss which is too bad. This feature would be very helpful to communicate between SL & RL.

The address is good for about 24 hours.
We don't make these links permanent for one very good reason: It keeps third parties from using SL to spam you.
