This is really starting to make me crazy... I'm having a problem, over and over, with an item I made coming up as No Transfer. I checked the textures I used to make sure none of them were no copy/no transfer.... they all seem OK. These are items I had wanted to sell... little statues. Just to be sure, I removed all textures from one, and it still showed as No Transfer. I experimented with one tonight... if I unlink pieces, they can be marked for sale, but the whole thing, with objects all linked, cannot. I can mark it as Free to Copy, but I can't transfer it! What's up with this? Is it a bug? Is there something I can do to fix it? Is anybody else having this problem? It's getting very frustrating. Any suggestions would hopefully help me retain my sanity....

You may have to tear one apart and check each prim's contents - a texture or script or notecard or even another object might be in one or more of 'em, with it's restricted pemissions being a pain.

Hmm. I don't have anything in it except textures... I was sure all the textures were OK to use, but I may have to take one apart and check each again. If that's not it, then I don't know what it could be!

OK, I took one apart and checked every texture that wasn't just a blank with color added.... I looked them up in inventory and checked the permissions as well. The textures are all OK. What's stranger is, if I unlink one piece, mark it for sale, and link it again, *then* the whole object shows as for sale.... the 'buy' option comes up then. But it *still* is No Transfer, so I can't give it away as a gift! This is just too strange. Is it just me?? Do the prims just not like me, or am I missing some vital step?

I've seen the same sort of odd behaviour from time to time. Someone gave me a sound with full perms, but anything I stick it into, once I take it into my inventory, ends up as No Mod. Bizarre stuff.

I wish I knew what was causing this.... I've tried taking all the textures off, so it's just plywood, and it still shows as No Transfer afterwards. I've made test items (with fewer prims) and left them untextured, and they were OK, so I thought maybe it was one of the textures... and yet, all the textures I was using are marked as OK to copy or resell or whatever.
Maybe it's a bug in one of the textures that isn't visible? Maybe I have to stop using the free texture packs I get at GNU or whatever and just use the defaults, or ones I upload.

I think you might want to consider bug reporting this and leaving a copy of the untransferable object out for the bughunters to look at.

Possibly.... though I reported it to the LL tech support email address the first time on Dec. 19, and never got an answer except the initial autoreply. Would things move faster if I used the bug report option in world? (I hope?)

I was given an object today, It contains no mod, no copy scripts. I've had no problems copying the object. Haven't tried to duplicate the conditions on another object. My inventory has it marked with no restictions in the title. When I edit the object "copy" is grayed out but checked.

Well, I went ahead and bug-reported one of these, and left it out for them to look at.... I hope this gets some action, because otherwise I'm getting very discouraged about trying to sell these things at all. If every one I make is going to come out No Transfer, I don't see a point in building them at all.
