All I did was change my avatar and my clothing first went completely clear, then any clothes I tryed went that way, This was confirmed to also show to others on their clients, and is not the first time this has happened.... I finanly managed after several cache clearings, and eventualy a reinstall to get the clothing to load only to have it suddenly go transparent again for no apparent reason , and then become completely clear..
Some of this COULD be my graphics card, but i doubt it as other's see the problem as well. I can do everything else normaly, just not equip clothes and have them load. I've had this issue on and off since 1.8
Anyone know of a solution? Other than becoming a nudist....
Also I find it strange that it is all the clothing I won freebies stuff from various makers and stores... not just a few things..

I've moved your post to Technical Issues, Shiguire, as SL Answers isn't the right place. Find out more here. The first basic thing I'd make sure is that you have a supported graphics card--and it's always a good idea to have the drivers up-to-date. I do know some chipsets which are not compatible, like SIS ones, will not display clothes right, and consequently make you appear nude. You may also want to experiment in Second Life Preview 1.9.1 to see if it makes any difference. For official help, please contact support.

Actually Torley it isn't just clothing. My Brother in law had prims on a house he was working on do something similar. He applied a non transparent texture to the prim and suddenly it went transparent. In the texture box it showed the correct texture but in the color box it showed some strange white in the center clear at the edges thing. The prim could not be repaired. Not attempt at changing the color or texture did anything to fix it. He ended up simply replacing the prim. I have no idea if he bug reported this or not. And all of us did see this. I event went into edit and examined the prim. Correct texture in the Texture box....something strange in the color box.

As I stated it shows for everyone around me IT CANNOT be my simply MY card.
I'm sorry but that seems to be the answer for everything, even things that show up on every agent's client one comes in contact with...
Some of my problems COULD be my card, thus why I have said nothing of them, this however is obviously server or connection related, and as all the online tests say I have an excelent connection.... I'd be more willing to beleive it was your servers.
However you did explain some OTHER clothing problems that DO NOT show to everyone. As soon as I can I will replace my video card with something more compatable.
(edit) Also for some unknown reason preview grids never work for me 0.o. the oficial releases do though.. go figure?

I don't think it's your card... I had this exact problem happen, I've posted about it elsewhere on this forum. In my case, part of a shirt became invisible, due to some sort of asset server/crash problem (I never determined what caused it) and I never did get it to show again. I could see it just fine when I was in appearance edit mode, but no one else could, and when I closed edit, part of the shirt would be invisible again. I bought a new copy of the item, and the exact same thing happened with that one. I let the designer know, just in case the copy in her vendor had a problem, and she was kind enough to upload a new copy of the texture file for me; that finally solved the problem for me. I have no idea what caused this, but I do know you're not the only one experiencing it. You have my sympathies!

The odd thing is it fixes it's self. after a period of time, and just randomely happens when I change avatars or outfits.

The designer I spoke to seemed to think (if I'm recalling right) that it was a conflict that happened with skins sometimes... some sort of graphics problem with the clothing texture file and the skin. Wish I knew for sure... I'm kinda lost on this one myself.

It happens most often when switing avtars, the odd thing though is how often it happend and how the item eventualy just starts loading again. :?
