frequent crashing

This problem has just started since the update the week of 11/21.

About 10-15 minutes after logging in, everything goes quiet (am usually surrounded by someone(s)), and I know that for whatever reason I have crashed (mini-map changes color; mouse-over on object does not retrieve info.; my typing does not register on screen; etc.).

I have uninstalled SL, cleaned the registry, cleaned the internet cache, and reinstalled SL. But have experienced no improvement.

My computer consists of:
MS XP Professional
AMD Athlon XP 1658 MHz cpu
Asus A7V8X-X motherboard
RADEON 9600 series video adapter
Creative SB0350 Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card

I don't think you're crashing . It sounds more like you're losing connection. This happens to me rather frequently and I believe the cause is your connection choking at some point and not being able to handle all the data coming down your pipe from SL. I find it happens most often when all three of our computers are online at once, my wife and I in game both with yahoo running, a browser and whatever else open as well as one of my kids surfing the web. So far I haven't been able to cure the issue except by not having too many connections open to the net simultaneously

Thanks Aleister......but now I'm even more puzzled. I haven't added any new programs, and am the only one who uses the connection in this family. So the only changes in the last two weeks that I'm aware of, were the SL update, and starting to use a networked vendor.

And...wouldn't you know, after I submitted the first post, I had a nice uninterrupted two hours in game before I had to log off for rl.
