I continually crash its not a if but when thing. Worse thing about it is I cant close the program I have to reboot my machine. If I try to quit the program I get the following message

Error
This program cannot be closed. If it is being debugged, please resume it or close the debugger first.

Anyone got some ideas as to whats going on. Ive cleaned out my cache, re installed SL. Im just plain tired of this nonsense. It doesn't make for a very enjoyable experience even for some one like me who has been here for a while.

Any help would be appreciated.

Agi.

Check for anything unusual running in the background. Run your anit virus and anti malware programs. The program is seeing something happening that you are not aware of.........could be a glitch in the SL client, but it could be something more serious too.

I upgraded to the 2.0 Beta because the 1.9 was messing up on me. You may have to give that a shot.

Hi Peggy and Lias,

Ive run anti virus over the machine, its clean same with malware tonight. Ive unloaded SL from the system cleaned out the folders and the registry for all trace of SL 1.9 and then loaded 2.0 beta. Unfortunately exactly the same result, looks like time to rebuild my hard disks. You cant help but think its graphics card related but I know the nvidia 7600 gs is supported. And with 2 gig of ram you would of thought it had enough grunt to deal with SL.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

Agi.

Could it be your install of Windows that is doing it?

Could well be, no major changes however in the last 6 months. I will just have to bite the bullet and reformat it and start again.

I think the problem you could have is a memory leak. The viewer just keeps using more and more RAM until it crashes. U should open the taskmanager and watch if the ammount of RAM that the viewer uses keeps rising. How do i know ? Because i have the same problem. The only thingk u can do about that is: Try using another viewer.

Well its been about a week now and Im find the 2.0 beta alot more stable than 1.9 on my machine very few boots, and no lockups forcing me to reboot. Almost acceptable.
