We have a Sony laptop that we only have audio issue when playing streaming music in SL. Streaming video gives us no issues what so ever. We are running the latest version of Windlight and all drivers for that laptop are up to date.
We have checked and the laptop is not over heating. All virus scans do not produce anything, yet we still have crackling in the audio.
Laptop is running windows xp.
