Offline-IM timestamp wonkyness

I just logged in to find a few offline IM waiting for me:

[6:05] xxx xxxxxx: (Saved Sun Jun 04 07:02:00 2006) [sanitized]
[6:05] xxx xxxxxx: (Saved Sun Jun 04 07:52:41 2006) [sanitized]
[6:05] xxx xxxxxx: (Saved Sun Jun 04 07:52:51 2006) [sanitized]
[6:05] xxx xxxxxx: (Saved Sun Jun 04 07:58:12 2006) [sanitized]

This is rather remarkable, given that these messages were supposedly delivered to me at Sun Jun 04 06:05:xy 2006 PDT, so if those timestamps are in PDT as well, I received a message from the future.

However - when I logged in and received those IM, it was between 1 and 2 p.m. local time.

So what are those '6:05' timestamps then? They don't match up with the 50 minutes difference between the first and the following two messages and the six minute difference between those and the last one and they obviously aren't the current local time.

I've gotten around now to look at the actual emails for those offline IMs - it turns out the long timestamps are in fact my local time (CEST), the sim sent out the mail containing the first IM at 22:02:00 PDT.

So that solves about half of this puzzle (although it might still be interesting to know how the Second Life client figures out the local timezone to convert the time to - does it look at the timezone set on the host operating system or at the account data?) - I still don't have the slightest clue however what the small timestamps (6:05) refer to.
