Land Prim Count

Greetings...

Two nights ago, I specifically checked the number of prims that remained available on my land. 250 were remaining. To the best of my recollection, I didn't lay anything else out on my property. Last night, objects began being returned to me. (about 70 prims worth) as soon as I arrived on the property.

I'm mystified at this. I have 21,000+ meters on this parcel.

Any ideas on objects or anything else that might cause this situation?

Good lord Fleenie... it sounds like a bug, I'd ask a Linden for advice. Best of hope with it!

Does sounds like a bug, if you do go over the limit the latest placed items are returned, and as you were below when you noticed then they were either returned or its a bug, as if someone else had placed items over the limit it would be them items that would be returned and not yours

Also seems to correspond to the other posts from people seeing items they didnt want returned being returned etc, and if anybody being following my returning tree saga from a property i left months ago i recieved another last night, again while i was offline, funny thing was when i checked out the first day there arent any trees on this plot of land mine or otherwise, buried etc. so shrugs.

::nods:: It indeed seems like a bug to me, a big fat inconvenient one atm (as if there's any convenient bug) . Per Torley's suggestion, I did get a Linden over to my land and he suggested I get the SIM to recalculate the prim count by separating my 21K parcel into 2 plots and rejoining. That didn't work. So next step ::groan:: is reporting it as a bug and to support@... we'll see. I hope the Lindens can redeem my faith as I have lost confidence in their support.

Indeed, the objects being returned to me are far from the most recent items I've placed, they were items very close to where I happened to be at the time this started happening (I was in SL elsewhere for awhile before I returned to this parcel then boom it started happening)... I also of course checked to insure that no one else's items had been placed on my property (despite benig set for a short return time). I wondering if this is related: I have noticed on my property that despite having a short minute return time, even as short as 1 minute, I've seen people's prims remain on my property until I return them.

I've seen the prims being used that i cant find anywhere on my land, it only occured when i was living on the edge of the sim, i finally figured out what it might be, if anybody has been flying across sim boundarys and lost their attachments, because the sim hasnt been able to hand over assets quickly enough, while you carry on flying a kinda invisible phantom of those attachments are left at the sim border including its prim usage.

This has also been happening in 1.7 except that they seem to be visible, got some nice pictures of my shoes and hair floating in the air, although as builds go on its been alot harder to get items to fall off and region crossing seems quite reliable at the moment, even with the fastest flight packs etc.

My parcel is indeed at the edge of the SIM.

As I think I mentioned, I've lost faith in Linden support. If you have any idea on how fast/if at all the Lindens will take care of this for me, or anything else I can do besides doing a bug submission/contact support and if no luck, call SL and talk to conceirge tomorrow (all suggestions by a linden liason), I'd appreciate your input.

Im quite hopefull this will somehow be fixed or alleviated at least in 1.7, because the objects are visible, and at the moment right clicking on these left behind objects is causing a client crash, so as far as future goes im hoping it gets fixed or made very unlikely to happen, as for 1.6, i had to return someones objects today that i didnt see, then best think to do is just return if you dont see them, no need to im them as they probably dont know what happened and it wont be objects they get back either as they were never actually taken

Thanks...the problem is, that no one is listed as having prims on my property. This all happened when I teleported to the hub nearest to my land (this parcel is net set as my home location so I have to use the hub to get to it), and flew onto the land. I flew through the ground and had to relog...then when I entered my home, stuff began getting returned to me.
