Hi all,
I've read a couple of the performance issue thread but dont see exactly what I am experiencing. Thought it was the dual processor thing in the sticky but that didnt seem to help.

I have a new Dell 410,
1.86 dual core
2 gigs ram
8800 GTS video card
Windows Vista (hate it)

When I first log in to an empty sim 50+ fps life is good.
Go to a sim with a few people in it and 35-40 fps life is good enough.
But if I start panning around spying on people ;) (alt click zooming and what not). The fps will drop to less than 5 and stays there. Even after i stop panning around. Even if i stare at the wall.

My processor load is normally 50-60%. But once I do the pan and zoom it pegs out at 95% and stays there.

Ok updated a bit ;). it may be transparency related? even when I am centered on my self and scroll out through a window or wall it pegs the processor load at over 85% and never comes back

Ok .. sorry more updates. once it gets borked I can zoom all the way into my avi and it goes back up to 45 fps and 50% processor load but craps back out when I zoom out even a little bit.

Setting affinity to one processor doesnt seem to help. any ideas?

Thanks
