Huge Prims Problem

I want to complain about people selling huge prims when we cannot make them. The issue is simple: the person selling them is selling something that no one else can make, ever, because it is an exploit. SL is about commerce, and Linden has granted a monopoly.

I’ve heard the reasoning that Linden does not want to break content – how about this: don’t remove any in world, but disallow any from being newly rezzed. Old content works, but this exploit is grandfathered.

My other concern is that sims I’m in where I’ve seen them are buggy – laggy and crashy.

From what I've read about this, it is still possible to make them, so it would not be a monopoly. If you believe they are laggy or crash the sim, please provide proof. If they are laggy and do crash the sim, it would be against the policy to make them.

As you've no doubt seen, these are now free to all, so that concern should be appeased.

Having used them myself, I see no evidence that suggests that they have adverse effects on sim performance or that they cause any other problems.

But, since I do not have a problem with them, I am not motivated to prove that they are free of problems. You, on the other hand, seem to have a lot of motivation to prove that they are problematic. Since you can now get them free, I would be very interested (no sarcasm intended) to see if you can prove that they should in fact be eliminated.

Please let us know, in as objective a manner as possible, what you find out?
