This is a new one. Are they solid green, clothes and all, or is it just they're skin tone? Can you see details such as eyes and lips?

Also, how close do you need to be for them to render properly?

Finally, which operating system, model video card, and driver are you using?

Try turning off avatar vertex under preferences in SL. Please post back your results.

That's a good idea. You might also push the av detail slider around and see if that makes a difference as well.

This exact problem has been happening to me also, and has been since i started playing about a week ago. Doesnt seem to be a problem many people have though. Blake, let me know what video card you have, and your system specs. im running a radeon 9800 pro. anyone else experiencing this problem?

I've got a Radeon 800 and a X1600 and neither of my machines are having that issue currently. My girlfriend is on a 9600 and has not reported any issues. I also haven't upgraded my video drivers in the last two months or so, but did before that.

After making my post I found another thread on the same subject with the answer - before you log in, under Preferences, go to Graphics Details and turn off Avatar Perspex (or something like that).

That did the trick for me.

EDIT
lol, doh, the answer was already in this thread. And it's Avatar Vertex... :D
