Anybody else having a problem with just falling through floors? I know that these are solid floors, and had no problems with this yesterday. Maybe I just have termites...

I fell through a ramp yesterday. I thought at first it was a sneaky tick played by the builder, but no. Everything else has been fine.

I experienced that problem before the update.

I had a whole custom build changed into Phantom over a irl night... Support was there .. took samples and I still havent heard a thing about what was the problem..
I rebuilded the house from scratch with new prims - and it took me ”only” 4 days..
We have a part of our house that are crossing over two sims.. at that part the ava close to fall down.. you go up and down... but not fall down completly---

This is an annoying bug from 1.6 (maybe older, but I can't recall) that I'd hoped would clear up with 1.7. If it happened to you just recently, then I guess it's still around. The good news is it's easy to fix. Simply shift drag the offending prims to leave a duplicates behind in their place and then delete the originals. The new prims will behave properly. Rebuilding from scratch is completely unnecessary.

And LL should know all about this because they patch it themselves where roads cross sim borders! What you do is to place a suitable size prim inside the offending prim(s) thus 'bandaging' the sim crossing area with what amounts to an extra support. Don't ask how or why, I don't know, but it works.

The other thing which causes floors to go 'phantom' without phantom being checked is if you have linked floor prims and need to edit one of the linked prims.
So naturally you check 'edit linked' and get stuck in... Next time you walk across the prim you edited you fall through it!
Solution? Unlink, edit. relink, rather than check 'edit linked'. Oh and do the unlink/copy/delete/reposition/relink trick to replace damaged prims (edit/check 'phantom'/close edit/edit/uncheck 'phantom'/ close edit sometimes works too).
BTW, this bug doesn't exist according to LL... which is odd because just before the update I reproduced it several times in a large build which gave me ample opportunity to work out what was happening and how to avoid it. I haven't checked it in 1.7 because I simply can't build anymore. But I hardly think they will have fixed a bug they are firmly convinced doesn't exist...

This bug occurs regularly in the Welcome Area, just around the fountain, and yes, it was there before 1.7.

I ran into that bug while working with a sky home.... Interestingly one time I selected the offending floor without unlinking it, and changed the shape type, deselected, reselected, changed the shape back... and it was solid again. Don't know if that was a fluke though.
Pain in the @r$3 if you ask me. -.-
