Good day!
I was curious about SLI performance in Second Life. I have 2 256 Mb 7800GTX's running in SLI mode. I noticed that in graphics optionsbI only have 256 Mb video memory available and the 512Mb is greyed out. Is there a way to acess the full 512?
I noticed Nvidia did'nt include a profile as with other games, perhaps someone has had some luck with a user created one?
Thanks in advance!

I've got an SLI setup, and here's how my mate Kauri put it: "The two cards don't combine to form Voltron so much as split the load between them. Each card needs to load the same texture information to either render every other frame or render half of the frame each, so you still end up with 256MB." I've had the most luck with split-frame rendering myself. Kauri says to check out this link, it will say how to create your own SLI profile: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_appprofile_howto1.htmlIn step 5 it shows where to choose the SLI rendering mode.

Indeed, 256 is the correct setting, you have 256MB per Card. Each card works indipendantly in so much as one is doing one thing ( using it's own ram ) and the other something else ( also using it's own ram ) - so at any point only 256MB is available. Quite logical really (and ALL applications will see 256MB graphics memory it's NOT limited to SL).
