After i read few others post on what sl needs to run let me tell ya what i have and maby some one can tell me if thats my prob with realy bad lag in sl.First i have a sepron(tm) 2800+ 2.00ghz processor. A nvidia 5500 256 ram graphic card. 300w power supply oh and 1 gig of ram

Before I go into hardware suggestions, you may want to consider the speed of your connection.
Having said that, I see two possible upgrades. I'm assuming that since you have a Sempron +2800, you might have an AGP video card. Upgrade choices for AGP are limited these days. You can either take the inexpensive route and get a Nvidia 6600 vid card (usually around 100 bucks US) or one of the newer 7800 AGP cards (at least 300 bucks US).
Either choice will probably require that you upgrade your power supply. The AGP versions of 6000 and 7000 series cards require separate connections from your power supply to the card. From personal experience I've learned that you must have at least 400w to run one of these cards. Avoid cheap power supplies. Their ratings aren't exactly honest. I personally prefer Antec power supplies.
