Cannot buy lindens (but it charges me anyway)

Title of the thread says it all, i now owe over 30$ for lindens i never received.

I thought it was a bug at first but i checked my pending charges on my bank account and sure enough, i was charged for them.

Any help out there?

Are you sure you were actually charged and not just "pinged"? When a charge is trying to go through sometimes it will just ping your card and put your funds in a hold or pending status which means they are checking to make sure that the money is there. LL doesn't have the money and youcannot use it either until the charge is released.

This has happened to me before and I freaked out thinking a company took my money without giving me the goods.

It might be that, but i had bought lindens about an hour prior and there was no problem, and usually when i don't receive my lindens right away, its fixed when i relog. its been over a half hour since i tried to buy them (through the website as well) and still nothing.

i purchased lindens about an houra go too, the money has disappeared from my bank account, it may be being held for later, but my linden $'s have not appeared in world yet either, hope they get it fixed and that i get my L$'s!!

Just happened to me too.

I just bought my lindens & they didn't appear. I relogged but they are still not there!

My account has been charged & i got an email telling me the order has been filled but they are not showing in my transaction history either.

Hope they come through soon- my rent is due!

if they fixed it, they forgot about me!! I'm still waiting to recieve linden $, if i dont have them in a couple of hours, who do i contact? am i allowed to put in a support ticket, i'm not a premium account holder :/

Sending mail to billing at secondlife.com is supposed to work regardless of your account level.

In your mail I recommend that you write "please either deliver the L$ or give me a refund by <date> or I will have to request a chargeback from my credit card company for your failure to uphold your end of the contract". I think 5 to 7 working days is reasonable.

(Actually I think 3 days is more than fair given that they'll lock you out the second they fail to collect funds from you even if it is their error, but I'm being generous)

yeah that didnt work for me either. I paid via paypal and this was at the bottom of my paypal reciept though

Wow, that's stunningly bad customer service. I suggest you initiate the chargeback now as LL has given you no avenue for address of grievance. Either that or e-mail [robin@lindenlab.com] and [philip@lindenlab.com].

Unless, of course, you've paid with paypal which has a long-standing policy for no refunds for non-delivery of intangible goods.

(Oooh, I just found a way to stop vBulletin from crapping up my message with useless tags; brackets are my [new friend])

Using [email]support@secondlife.com[/email] "Our support system has changed. via RT" doesn't work anymore either

I bought L$ while visiting SecondLife last night and was charged but my balance does not reflect the charges.
I checked this morning and no, the charged amount does not show, except as that I did purchase Lindens off Lindex.
Reading the SecondLife Blog & Forums, I see others have had this problems and tried to file a support ticket, but do not see where.
Since I was charged the 2 amounts and then later! the service message was sent to residents, I would like the 2 amounts updated to my available balance in world as hoped :(

I sent in a support ticket yesterday afternoon. Its 9am, I'm up and about, cup of tea in hand, checking my emails, and a nice linden has credited my account with my owed lindens. All I did was explain that I'd bought lindens before checking the blog and that I didn't receive them, pasted my transaction info from my paypal confirmation email as proof, whizzed it off as a support ticket with these details as the header-

Ticket Description
* Summary: non delivery of L$
* Ticket Type: Special questions-Basic account or guest login
Basic or Guest Access - only a few ticket types allowed: -- SELECT ONE - LindeX Tier Review

after that i just waffled at them about wanting my money back, and yey, within 18 hours my account has been credited. Good luck folks, hope this helps a little!

A Linden msged and fixed my charged but not delivered Lindex buy.
I only submitted one support ticket last week and waited, ok not patiently, but hopeful!
And they did, yah! And they were very nice *ka* :)

Well, it happend to me also. Last week I bought L$ for 38.00 US$.
Never received the Linden Dollars.
It looks like Linden Support is sleeping.
They do not answer my request at all.
I hope VISA will help me out.

I always buy my $L from SL Exchange. I seldom have problems, and when I do, Support is fast and helpful.

Unlike the company who prints the stuff. :p
