Error Downloading SL Client

Hi I get this message after I just re-installed windows on my PC there are no viruses on my computer at all.

However I can download the Beta Test Grid Preview with no errors at all and the Mac version downloads just fine....



I would like to get SL back on my computer anything I can do? Any other sites to dl SL?

Thats funky, looks like it may be ZoneAlarm that is popping up with that error.

Try this solution:

Step 1 Unplug your network connection(s) from your PC. (Ethernet or USB depending on your setup)
Step 2 Shutdown ZoneAlarm. (ONLY do this IF your network connection(s) is/are unplugged!)
Step 3 Attempt installation of Second Life. If successful shut down your PC. Do not connect your network connection(s) yet.
Step 4 Ensure ZoneAlarm is running, if it is running reconnect your network connection(s).

If you still get the error message, or any other error message then the download may have been corrupted in transit, to test download another application, such as Spybot Search and Destroy and attempt to install that. If installation fails then there is something such as Cool Web Search preventing applications from installing.

hhhhmmm Now I know its Sl's side

A friend sent me to my server the Installation file for SL and now the windows version is installing just fine.

I did try that and nothing worked.

I did a save target as for the windows download link and it still says that error instantly.

I can download plenty of other things, I am currently download coolbits for my Nvidia drivers. I did a full scan of Zonealarm and Ad-Aware and absolutely nothing came up.

I did just today re-format my hardrive to try to improve performace a little bit and this is the only problem I have had all day.

I can download the Beta test grid just fine and I was actually on it earlier I can also download the Mac version and the linux version just fine its just something is wrong with the download for this file and I am starting to believe it is on SL's side.

Thx for your reply though, maybe you can test that download link yourself and see what it does.

Right now there seems to be an issue with the grid itself, and perhaps the download server may be affected as well.

Would be best to wait and see what is cooking when the Lindens get a chance to update residents of the situation.

In the meantime you can shoot an e-mail to support and see what a support technician can suggest as well.
