here lately i have had this odd problem. When i walk around, using either the up arrow or the W button to walk forward...it tends to hang and keeps walking or flying no matter how many times i hit the down arrow or the S key..it keeps moving for a full 3 seconds before it will stop and backtrack part of the way i thougt my animation over ride was messing it up but this happens evern when my toon is completey naked and devoid of any overrides. Live help couldnt help me and suggested i come here.

why is this happening and what can i dod to fix it please

Welcome to lag land. There are several other threads about the recent increase. :-(

It's lag. Just let go of the controls immediately. When the lag clears you normally snap back to the correct spot.

Thr problem you describe is known as "Rubberbanding" in gaming parlance. It is almost always caused by server-side lag. I am having this problem also. So frequently that I have almost forgotton what it was like to just be able to move from place to place normally. For me, this rubberbanding problem has never been worse than during the past several days.

SL is broken and no one in a position to do anything about it has the balls to admit it.! Hopefully, someday at a time not too far away there will be an SL that once again is fun rather than a constant source of frrustration.

I thought the rubberbanding I've recently begun to experience was annoying, but today it is impossible. I'm in Nexus Prime and everytime I try to go near this one door I can't stop and start walking through the floor. I can't even change direction to go through it. When I snap back - I'm in the water under the sim!
