The settings that appear in the settings.ini file are in "alphabetical" order.
Does this matter to the program when you add your own custom settings such as the one for font size?

From: Hunter Stern probably Sl is so, umm, not perfectly reliable in all aspects it would be nice to know for a fact whether it matters. I guess I can just make a backup of it and then scramble the original. --- addenda --- well, i just took the first part of the file and moved it to the end. SL still started up ok, so that's a good sign. They appear to have been resorted by SL, after it started. Now to find the darn custom settings and add them in at the end or beginning and see how that works out. --- I will give it a try anyway. Being able to just use the DOS copy command to add the customization parts to the end would be much nicer than having to open it up and paste them into the right place. I want to get these customizations in a file, backed up, and be able to apply them with one click. I can't remember them and I'm so lazy I will just not script, not even my baby beginner's toy script, after an update because I can't see the difference clearly between a curly brace, a parenthesis, and a vertical pipe as well as would be nice, not to mention the difference between a colon and a semicolon. Sigh, if only the Linden staff would spend as much time on making functional user customization of the interface easy instead of rounding off the corners on things and making them glow and pulsate in fluorescent colors and other such non-functional things.

Alrighty, now! I have created a folder called C:\CustomizeSl In that folder I have two files, a text file called CustomizeSL.txt and a batch file, (which is a text file) called CustomizeSL.bat In the CustomizeSL.txt file, I have the following line: From: someone FontSizeMonospace 14 In the CustomizeSL.bat file, I have the following hideous looking passage: From: someone copy "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings\settings.ini" +"C:\CustomizeSL\CustomizeSL.txt" "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings\settings.ini" This worked, it added the "fontsizemono 14 " to the end of the settings.ini file And SL ran after using it, and the font size in the script editor is big enough to see. I may have to whittle it down, since that monospace font is used in other areas. I could also change the font used, one can hope that LL hasn't made the program's operation dependent on the use of a particular monospaced font. Now to find Eep Quirk's post with the thickness of the object editor wireframe highight lines and stick that in. Anyone with other good settings to put in the settings.ini file, please feel free to post them or a link here. Thanks.
