I messed up all my settings in client window and tried to do so many things to change my settings. Is there anyway I can reset my settings. I have tried everything. Please advise.
Thank YoU

Delete your preferences file. It'll be rebuilt when you log on next time. (don't forget to write down your PASSWORD so you have it to log back in.)

Preferences file on a mac is the folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Second Life/Candy Barcelona/

Its in a similar spot on PCs and Linux machines.
Just delete that folder and start up Second Life.
Enter your name and password and you're off and running.

NOTE TO OTHERS: Obviously, you should replace, 'Candy Barcelona' in the above file location with your own name!

Hi
If I delete that will it delete everything I saved on SL?

I did uninstall the program and reinstall it. Did that reset it? Or should i still delete that file?
Thank You for replying

Your items in SL (clothes, Avitar, skin, house, etc.) are kept on the SL server. They'll be fine. In fact, you can log on to SL from ANY computer, anywhere in the world, and you're in SL--just like you left it.

Deleting the SL program and reinstalling doesn't delete the preferences file. You should still do that. (and, my experience is, delete the Prefs file as the first 'fix', and THEN try deleting and reinstalling the SL software.)

Good luck, Candy. Let us know what happens.
