NOTE: THE FLAW IN THE SL CLIENT ALLOWING GOD-MODE ACCESS TO RESIDENTS HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED AND SUBMITTED TO LINDEN LABS. I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS FLAW. I WILL NOT SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT FLAW AND WILL NOT USE THIS FLAW TO GAIN ACCESS AFTER TODAY
THE TELEPORT SERVER'S BUFFERS ARE BEING JAMMED FULL OF HOOTCHIE HAIR AND BLING. THEY ARE BEING JARRED LOOSE ON THE TRIP AND ARE GETTING LEFT BEHIND IN THE BACKEND. I MANAGED TO CLEAR OUT THE BUFFER (98% HOOTCHED AT THE TIME) AND IT REFILLED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.
PLEASE REMOVE ALL HOOTCHIE HAIR, BLING, MULTI-PRIM ATTACHMENTS, SCRIPTED ATTACHMENTS, AND/OR ANI OVERRIDERS BEFORE TELEPORTING. IF EVERYONE DOES THEIR PART THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED. FOR NOW WE SHOULD ALL HOOTCH AND BLING IN MODERATION.
That is all. Thank you. Use this thread for discussion. LL has my nextel number, all you mafia punks can fook off.

Yeah. Or when you have a bunch of fluffy shedding pets in a central-airconditioned house and the filter gets clogged with fur.

or LL could just implement a Changed byte value for attachments that if false would not bother saving, which they in general have been working at (aka unscripted attachments no longer bother to save), and by in large most appearance related avatar attachments are unscripted
usin a known exploit of that severity tho is probably grounds for account termination, assumin it all wasn jus made up to do god knows what

I got the feeling from the release notes a few releases back that they do only save attachments that have changed. I think the thing is just that a script is constantly running, and therefore constantly changing, so the entire object (and the state of its scripts) needs to be saved every TP. I know at least in the preview grid when I tested that feature, it skipped over saving a few attachments, corresponding to the number of scriptless attachments I had on.

From the release notes since 1.6.5 this is the case
Attachments save on teleport only if they have changed since the last teleport or login. Scripted attachments always save. This makes teleports faster and reduces the load on our central "asset server."
