I've been reading in this forum about people not being able to log in after the update, but after a couple of hours they could log back in. For me, I have been trying to log into SL numerous times, and for 3 days I still get the same thing. On the first day of trying to log in after downloading I got a message that I should wait a few minutes and then try again. After waiting I tryed again. The message said that the region was restarting. Well, I waited for another 3-5 minutes and tryed going to most of the sandboxes and other regions. No luck :(, I decided that I should wait a day. Next 2 days I try to log in, it goes smoothly then stops at "connecting to region". I have waited for 30-60 minutes on that "connecting to region" message and I still can't get into SL. It just stops and doesn't continue. Now, I read about someone saying that uninstalling Sl and then reinstalling it will work to solve problems, but would it work to solve my problem? Please help!!

Create an alt account and see if that will log in. It might help determine if the problem is with your avatar or your system.

Another trick is, from the preferences at the login screen, check the option to select login-location... then you can try logging in elsewhere (format is sim/x/y/z) to see if the region is the problem.

Hope some of this helps.

Yes, I tried the alt log in, but I get the same response. I don't think I tried the login location thing... my menu bar has 3 things.. 1) Log into last location, 2) <type in region name>, and 3) My home. I never had put sim/x/y/z, I just put in region name ex. Sandbox Cordova. So I will try that, if I understood it right.

Thank you for trying to help me out :).

Oh well, nothing seems to work that I've tried. I'll just go ahead and reinstall.

Also check your firewall, as since new version it would of probally been removed from being allowed.

In SL every Region has it own IP, many menu outputs have there own IP address, so an over protective firewall can do this, and since happened after update makes senses that the firewall does not recognize SL anymore, so just double check that as well.
