That's when Process goes to hell in a handbasket because a high-profile customer is on the phone, so they rush out a new build that hasn't been regression tested (couldn't have, in the time between releases) and it breaks a lot of other users. :-)

A Wells Fargo Issue is somewhat like a swimsuit issue, only instead of pictures of girls in skimpy swimsuits it has pictures of banks.

It's not nearly as popular as the swimsuit issues are, for some unfathomable reason.

I'm freakin serious. What, you want to know exactly what issue they fixed that was affecting the Wells Fargo island? You're more curious than I am then. <still smiling, but serious>

Wells Fargo is an armored car company. So it sounds like the truck that was supposed to come and get their money didnt show up and somebody had to take it to the bank in the trunk of their Volvo or something. Sure as hell wasnt a software fix cus IT AINT FIXED! By the way, how ya doin' Magnum, fancy meeting you here ;)

The Wells-Fargo issue is a comedic play on an issue some Mac users were having in which their money appeared to be gone when they logged in.

At least that's what I figure it is...

...which makes sense...because when I banked with Wells-Fargo, they couldn't get a single thing right. So I switched banks. Haven't had any Wells-Fargo issues since.

Lol. That was what you accepted as a sensible answer? *sigh*

At a guess, and at the risk of spoiling everyone elses fun at your expense, I'd say it was... dun dun DUN.... probably an issue affecting Wells Fargo's StageCoach Island sim.

Given that Wells Fargo is LL's first 'real' corporate customer doing something 'ground breaking' with the Second Life 'platform' I reeeeeeally don't think they're going to take the piss out of them with a cheap shot about player account balance issues.

Sorry to ruin your accepted serious answer and burst your bubble.

StageCoach Island is on the same grid. With the same asset server. When you-know-who decided to bring down SL the other day, he brought down StageCoach island with it.

I imagine they're fairly pissed off, yes. Especially since they couldn't use it the day after either due to the upgrade. And now apparently have residual issues. Wonder how they're enjoying the experience so far? :)

Given the XML-RPC breakage reported by SLB (and maybe others that I missed) it would not be inconcievable that some change in the client caused whatever off-line comms that Wells Fargo Island had with SL. Were that so, a quick fix for the issue would be expected and not unreasonable. Wells Fargo appears to have some serious marketing efforts tied up in this and unlike Merchant Avatar, stands to lose real business as a result. Since we're all just speculating, it is bad PR for Wells Fargo ATMs to be failing, even if they are virtual. Banks are anchored in the concept of reliability and threats to that image are indeed costly.

Just a guess.

Here's a serious answer:
When I TPed off the forum the computer would launch Stagecoach Island and not SL. After I uninstalled Stagecoach Island it didn't open anything, so there was no TPing that way until the fixed the issue in 1.7.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. The only thing I can remember being wrong with WF was that the bank server sometimes lost debit perms.
The Stagecoach Island client is just a skin. You can use either client with any of your accounts.
Whether the islands are on the same grid depends on your idea of grid. They are a separate grid in the same way as the TG is a separate grid. They do share access to the asset system but you can't see them, or see us from them. Unless you're a linden.

Gee, thank you :P
I should probably have rephrased that to mean that your guess is as good as mine.
