Hi everyone.
I tried to get Second Life going on my Gateway 600 notebook with a Radeon 7500 card in the small hope it would work... unfortunately it didn't. I cancelled my account. It crashed within 5 minutes every time I loaded it, and most of my time I spent rebooting. As I am on a laptop, my upgrading abilities are extremely limited, so I don't think I'll be able to try again for some time. (Though if anyone has any ideas, I'm open! I did try turning all the graphics settings to the minimums.)
I have 2 small questions:
Firstly, since I cancelled my account within 2 hours of making it, and I really didn't get much chance to actually try the game, can I get my 7-day free trial sometime in the future when I get a better graphics card?
Secondly, will my account with this screen name still be around whenever I do upgrade? (Barring anything bizarre like everyone's names getting wiped or something.)
Thanks!!

1. You can only have one free trial every 90 days
2. Once you cancel your account..., the lindens hold it for awhile, and then get rid of it.

From: Kazaria Mondrian Secondly, will my account with this screen name still be around whenever I do upgrade? (Barring anything bizarre like everyone's names getting wiped or something.) The name will still be around. Depending on the interval of time, any changes you've made to the account may not be. If you want to try SL again later, you'll likely have to start a different account then, but as Owl says, you won't be able to for 90 days.

We can restore cancelled accounts, but if they've been deleted, you'll start back up with a new user's inventory.
Incidentally, the Radeon 7500 doesn't meet our System Requirements (Radeon 8500 or higher).

Yes, I know that now, but I didn't notice until I'd already installed the game, so I decided to give it a try anyways.
