As soon as i login, after 2-3 minutes of walking around and talking, i suddenly freeze. I can only rotate my character by pressing the left and right arrow keys. Also can no longer fly and also cant type, and cant recieve IMs from anyone.

Please help me, i tried clearing cache and reinstalling. I've been playing for like 4-5 months so its not like im new to the game.

Something's wrong at LL's end, maybe too many users for the system to handle, maybe something worse. All you can do is wait.

Nicholas,

thanks for raising that, i have exactly the same issue.
I am using a new, hi spec pc so I would be very interested in hearing the reason for this continually freezing.

Do we get rebates if we can't use the system?

Sounds like you have lost either partial or full connection with the LL servers, but the client doesn't realize it. Happens to me ocasionally, power cycling my moden and router and its gone for another month or two :)

still havnt seen anything valuable in this thread yet that can help me with this issue.

It seems im not the only person having it, and many people are.

I'm not having the issue in my sim (Areumdu... something) any more. It seems to be regional and probably related to some other factor (neighbouring agents?), Dore was terrible for it last time I was there.

The only time i ever experience that kind of problem is when i loose connection to my wirelessnet, or if the sims crashes so hard that the server has not detected it yet...

So my guess is that it might be a connection problem.

certainly my connection is fine, so it isn't purely related to that. The problem seems too uniform to be that - the connection is there for other uses, but always dies 2 or 3 minutes after logging into SL.

My spec more than meets the minimum requirements and had been using SL happily for sometime before issues appeared.

How I fixed my constant crashes.

I uninstalled 1.14 and then used this link (http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/Second%Life%1-13-3-2%Setup.exe) to download 1.13.3.2 again, and installed it and then did NOT upgrade to 1.14 when asked.

In short, the new update is awful and I hope by the time they force me to update they have it sorted out.

I'm trying to establish if this is the same problem I'm experiencing at the moment.

Could anyone getting it check your sim stats (CTRL-SHIFT-1) and report if the sim FPS/ physics FPS are low (45 is normal IIRC).

AJ - yes, i see the FPS drop hugely as I lose control of my avatar. Can be walking around, then as the av takes on a mind of its own the FPS drops.

My av either freezes or flys or walks without me in control.

Getting very bored. How come Linden Labs don't mention this as a problem?
