Hangs on 1.12.3.6......

When starting 1.12.3.6 on my machine, the process hangs after the message:

Finding Domain Name server...

I was able to successfully launch and connect the very first time, but all subsequent attempts have stopped cold here. I've attempted to un-install and re-install and still no dice any help would be greatly appreciated.
